The WP Accessibility Day Call for Speakers is open and we would love to hear your talk ideas!
This year we’re doing things a little differently by introducing a new format for the event. Your talk will need to be pre-recorded and provided to us ahead of time.
If you already know what you want to speak about, submit your talk now!
If you’re not sure of a topic yet, some general ideas from past talks and current events that might help you think about your submissions include:
- The accessibility journey of a plugin developer (how you made your plugin accessible and lessons learned)
- How you adjusted your website build processes to prioritize accessibility
- How to sell clients or internal stakeholders on investing in accessibility
- Showcasing accessibilities’ impact and return on investment
- Writing content with accessibility in mind
- Ethical considerations of AI in accessibility
- Leveraging AI powered accessibility tools
- Challenges of accessibility in React applications
- Implementing accessibility in the product life cycle
- WCAG 2.2 and Preparing for WCAG 3.0
- Accessibility standards in your niche area (Higher Education, eCommerce, Financial Institutions, Healthcare)
Past schedules can be seen here: 2024 Schedule, 2023 Schedule and 2022 Schedule.
The call for speakers will remain open through May 26th, 2025, so don’t wait to submit an idea.
WordPress Accessibility Day 2025 is a free, 24-hour online event, scheduled to start at 15:00 UTC (11:00 US Eastern, 8:00 US Pacific) on Wednesday, October 15th.
