Matt is a designer. Matt is also colour-blind. This combination helps him see things from a different perspective.

Being colourblind in a profession that requires a certain eye for detail has certainly generated lots of conversation over the years on how the condition impacts design decisions.

In this talk Matt will talk through both his personal and professional experience of being colourblind, whilst also taking the conversation from the common questions he gets asked, such as “What colour is grass?”, to more serious topics of potential health implications.

Having written ‘Being a colour blind designer’ for Creative Review, shared his insights with De la Rue to help improve accessibility of bank notes across the world, amongst other talks, Matt continues to share his perspective with the aim of influencing design teams to factor colourblindness into their own design decisions.
