About Elaine Shannon

A creator and a tinkerer, Elaine has always enjoyed things like sketching, crocheting, designing, and coding. As a developer she does her best to improve websites for everyone – end users, content editors, and bots. She has been using WordPress since 2007 and fondly reminisces over simpler days when only PHP was required to customize things, but appreciates the editor experience that comes with blocks and their JS and React builds. She is part of a small but mighty team in charge of maintaining and customizing hundreds of WP sites for Georgetown University.
