About Alisa Shtromberg
I started my journey in astrophysics and optical instrumentation, working as an Optics Engineer before shifting gears into web and digital marketing while promoting the Magdalena Ridge Observatory. That path led me to over a decade of experience as a web content manager, developer, and designer. Most recently, I worked as Assistant Director of Website/Digital Content and Web Accessibility at LWTech, where I helped design and develop the college’s current website and now maintain its new version. I also supported social media, created video content, and produced web and social media analytics reports. I currently work at Houston Community College as the Director of Digital Accessibility, leading a team of excellent testing specialists in auditing, remediating and maintaining accessibility of HCC’s digital assets.
Outside of work, I’m happiest in the mountains—skiing with my family 50+ days a year. I also love weight training, biking, cooking, reading, and spending quality time with the people who matter most. Originally from the Republic of Georgia, I’m always up for an outdoor adventure or a great meal shared with family.
