The WordPress Accessibility Day (WPAD) Media Partners Program is a new initiative designed to foster meaningful collaborations with media outlets, including newsletters, blogs, podcasts, and social media channels. The program aims to expand awareness of WPAD and its mission.
Media partners will play a key role in amplifying our event and helping more people stay informed about important milestones such as speaker applications, sponsorship opportunities, and attendee registration.

Media Partner Requirements
To make the partnership meaningful, media partners agree to:
- Promote WPAD before, during, and after the event
- Publish at least one piece of long-form content (blog, newsletter, podcast, or video) about WPAD
- At least one social post before, during, and after WPAD
- Attend the event (virtually) and engage with key sessions
- Occasionally boost (repost in social channels) WPAD’s original posts
How to Apply
Interested organizations should apply through our online form, sharing details about the publication, audience, and content strategy. Applications will be reviewed for alignment with WPAD’s values and philosophy, including a shared commitment to accessibility awareness.
What Happens Next?
If approved, you will be contacted by the Marketing Team Leads. Once onboarded, media partners will receive:
- Dedicated Communication – Access to a private Slack channel for streamlined updates
- Creative Support – Official WPAD branding and promotional assets
- Event Participation – Opportunities to engage with WPAD speakers and organizers
